Ag Meets Tech: Simple Solutions to Real Challenges in Water

Ag Meets Tech: Simple Solutions to Real Challenges in Water

July 19, 2016 | 8:30am-1:00pm | UC Cooperative Extension

Join IEE faculty memebers Olivier Jerphagnon and Chandra Krintz for the first get together between Ag and Tech in the tri-county: Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties.

This is the first in a series events, and it will be hosted at the UC-Cooperative Extension near Ventura.

The event is supported by California Lutheran University, UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo so a large turn-out is expected. Do not forget to RSVP  - - places are limited.

The half-day session will start with an information session targeted for growers about simple solutions available today for managing water. It is scheduled at 8:30am so growers can get the day started. There will be field demonstrations for technologists who want to learn about local crops, irrigation and soil. Finally, the event will end with a panel of local growers and entrepreneurs who are dealing with new challenges in agriculture, and leveraging technology to address them.

Don't miss this great opportunity to network - lunch is provided.
