Technology Roundtables

Effective research and development of new technologies requires collaboration between the companies on the ground, the government agencies supporting research, and leading researchers in the field.

To address this need, the Institute launched its Technology Roundtable series in 2010. Technology Roundtables are small-group, facilitated workshops that bring together key stakeholders from industry, government, and academia to accelerate the development of a target technology driving energy efficiency or renewable energy. Discussions are highly interactive, focus on major technology roadblocks and potential solutions, and aim to inform and expedite research in the field.

Past roundtable topics have included LED lighting, integrated systems for building energy efficiency, data centers and clouds, concentrator photovoltaics, Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) core networks, and GaN power electronics.
